On June 16th, South Africans pause to remember a generation of brave young people who risked everything for a future they could only imagine. At BNM, we honoured their legacy in a way that was both joyful and deeply meaningful by celebrating Youth Day through remembrance, unity, and an infectious sense of play.

This youth day, we swapped our workwear for school uniforms, and our to-do lists for lunch packs and laughter. Our staff stepped into a playful spirit, reconnecting with the joy of childhood while reflecting on the powerful legacy of the youth who fought for change in South African education.

More than just dress-up and snacks, the day was about honouring the courage of young learners who gave up their innocence to pave the way for a better tomorrow. In their memory, we celebrated with gratitude, unity, and a whole lot of fun.

We believe in Ubuntu that we rise by lifting others. That’s why we’re committed to uplifting our team, so they in turn can uplift their communities. Because when joy, purpose, and remembrance meet, something powerful happens and that’s exactly what we saw on Youth Day.
